An aggressive knurled design allows for a secure grip and the body has twice the impact resistance of a standard Maglite torch. The MAG-TAC uses lithium CR123 batteries for high performance. The tail cap is shrouded to avoid accidental activation and the body has a matte finish. This tactical version of the MAG-TAC has been designed with input from military tactical consultants and has been tested and recommended by the National Tactical Officers Association. In addition to its standard features, it has a crowned bezel and features a high energy 12 Hz strobe for disorienting an attacker at close quarters. It comes with CR123 batteries and a pocket clip with a hole sized to accommodate a para cord lanyard.
